Hydro Jetting That Stops Repeat Clogs

High-pressure water scours your pipe walls back to bare metal or PVC — removing grease, sludge, scale, and roots instead of tunneling through them. Camera-verified before and after.

Cabling Opens a Hole. Jetting Cleans the Pipe.

If your drain has been snaked more than once in the past year and it keeps clogging, the problem was never really solved. A cable punches an opening through a blockage — water drains, everybody's happy, and the layer of grease, soap, sludge, and mineral scale coating the inside of the pipe is still exactly where it was. It keeps catching debris, and within weeks or months you're back where you started.

Hydro jetting takes the opposite approach. A specialized hose delivers water at extremely high pressure through a nozzle that fires jets forward to break up the obstruction and backward to pull the hose through the line while scouring the pipe wall in every direction. The debris is flushed downstream to the sewer main. What's left behind is a pipe at its original inside diameter — not a pipe with a hole through the middle of the gunk.

What Hydro Jetting Removes

Our Hydro Jetting Process

Step 1: Camera First, Always

We never jet a line blind. A sewer camera inspection tells us the pipe material, its condition, the location of the blockage, and whether there's structural damage that jetting could worsen. Clay, cast iron, Orangeburg, ABS, and PVC all behave differently under pressure, and a technician who skips this step is guessing with your plumbing.

Step 2: Match Pressure and Nozzle to the Job

Pressure and flow are dialed to the line, not maxed out for show. Nozzle selection matters just as much: a penetrating nozzle for a hard obstruction, a chain or root nozzle for intrusion, a flushing nozzle for grease and sludge. This is where experience separates a good jetting job from an expensive rinse.

Step 3: Jet the Full Run

We work the line from the cleanout out to the city main (or from the appropriate access point on a branch), making multiple passes so the entire wall gets scoured — not just the section where the clog sat.

Step 4: Camera Again and Show You the Result

The post-jetting camera pass is the proof. You see clean pipe wall, you see whether joints are tight, and you see any defect that was hidden under the buildup. If there's a belly, crack, or offset, you'll know before it turns into a backup at midnight.

Buying or selling a home? A jetting-plus-camera package gives you a clean line and documented footage of its condition — useful leverage in either direction during negotiation.

When Hydro Jetting Is the Right Call

When It Isn't

We'll tell you when jetting is the wrong tool. If the camera shows a collapsed section, severe corrosion that's eaten through the pipe wall, or Orangeburg pipe that's already deforming, high-pressure water can accelerate the failure. In those cases the honest answer is repair or replacement — and we'll show you the footage that explains why. We would rather lose a jetting job than create a bigger problem for you.

Hydro Jetting for Commercial Kitchens

For Colorado Springs restaurants, a scheduled jetting program is cheaper than a single shutdown. Grease loads build predictably, which means they can be managed on a calendar instead of an emergency call during dinner service. We work early mornings and off-hours, service grease-line runs and floor drains, and keep documentation for your health inspection records. See our commercial drain cleaning page for full details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers from the crew that does the work.

How much does hydro jetting cost in Colorado Springs?

Most residential hydro jetting jobs run several hundred dollars, depending on line length, how heavy the buildup is, and how accessible the cleanout is. It costs more than basic cabling because it does substantially more — it removes the material coating the pipe instead of punching through it. You get a firm price before we start, and estimates are free.

Is hydro jetting safe for older pipes?

In the right hands, yes. We camera the line first to check the pipe's material and condition, then set the pressure and nozzle to match. If a line is too deteriorated to jet safely, we tell you and recommend the repair that actually makes sense instead.

How often should hydro jetting be done?

For a typical home, only when buildup warrants it — often every few years. Restaurants and commercial kitchens usually benefit from a scheduled interval of every three to six months to stay ahead of grease.

Does hydro jetting remove tree roots?

Yes. Root-cutting nozzles shear roots back to the pipe wall and flush the debris out, which is far more thorough than cabling alone. Roots will regrow through the same entry point over time, so we always camera afterward so you know whether the pipe needs repair.

How long does hydro jetting take?

Most residential jobs take two to three hours including setup, the jetting pass, and the follow-up camera inspection. Commercial lines vary with length and grease load.
